Welcome to Rose n’ Thistle Golden Retrievers
We are a small family breeder located in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana. Choosing a puppy is a big decision, so we want to invite you behind-the-scenes. We offer and exclusive look inside that shows you what family-raised really looks like, how our puppies spend their first weeks of life, and why early environment matters when raising a calm, confident family dog. Get the look inside below!
Here at Rose n’ Thistle Retrievers our goal is not only to produce great quality, happy, healthy puppies. But puppies that will make wonderful, and loving family companions. Our dogs are our family here, and we ensure that every one of our puppies goes to safe and loving forever homes.
“I truly can’t thank you enough! It has been so rough since losing our girl Millie, Mia has filled my daughter’s little broken heart in so many ways. The absolute best girl! Literally will never have enough thank you’s for our girl!”

Meet the Halberts
Let me start , from the very beginning! Mr. Halbert and I married February 5th of 2016, we were madly in love (still are) and so excited to begin our new life together. We both grew up here in Southern Indiana, and planned to start our life together here and raise our children just as we were.
One thing I didn't have a whole lot of growing up however was dogs. My dad wasn't the biggest fan, so the running joke all growing up was "when you get married you can get all the dogs you want." Who knew I would take him so literally hah!
