Whats The Process?
Please read over our website to make sure we're a good fit for you! Then, if after reading over our website and reviewing Our Pricing, and feel like you’d like to add one of our puppy’s to your family, please submit an application for review!
After your application has been submitted, we will respond within three business days. Filling out an application does not guarantee approval for a puppy, we reserve the right to deny applications if we feel we are not the right fit for you.
Waitlist Process
Once you've been approved, there’s a $200 non-refundable deposit to be placed on the waitlist, and then the waiting begins. This wait time may vary based many different factors that are out of our control such as heats cycles, litter sizes, and genders. We stay in continual communication with our families on the waitlist with updated times of heats, confirmed breedings, confirmed pregnancy.
Just like you, each family on the waitlist will have particular things they are looking for in their puppy. All this means that things can change. Which will mean changes in the waitlist! Some families may choose to wait for future and upcoming litters, therefore giving up their spot in line. You also have the option to pass on any current litters or upcoming litters.
Our deposits are nonrefundable. If you’ve placed a deposit prior to being matched to a puppy, you are welcome to transfer your deposit to any upcoming litters, but once you’ve been matched with a puppy then your deposit is no longer transferable. Picking Process
If you are not particular about gender, color or litter pairing, you may be able to be placed with a puppy sooner. However, it is absolutely fine to have specific requests — just understand that you may experience a longer wait. Wait times can range anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
Once the puppies are born, we will contact everyone on our waitlist in the order in which they placed their deposit to see if they are interested in the available litter. If interested, they will be moved to that specific litter list. We will update everyone once a week via our email newsletter. These weekly updates will include recent photos and an update video via our YouTube channel.
We do not match owners with their puppies until the puppies are 6–7 weeks of age. This allows us to best evaluate their full personality, structure, coat color, and ensure they have a completely clean bill of health from our veterinarian. Our goal is to represent each puppy as accurately as possible to each waiting family.
Once the puppies have received their full vet check and are the appropriate age, we will go down the specific litter list (again, in the order in which people placed their deposit) and allow each family to select their puppy. We do not do in-person picks or visits (see our Visitors Policy for more information), but we provide ample videos and photos to fully represent each puppy honestly.
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your puppy once the puppies are born (unless you’ve already paid the waitlist deposit). The balance is due two weeks before the set pick-up date if using alternative payment methods other than cash. We accept Venmo, PayPal, or Square Invoice. (PayPal and Square do come with a small fee unless using PayPal Friends and Family.)
Puppy Pick Up Information
Puppies must be picked up the weekend of turning 8 weeks. We allow a 3 day grace period, but after that we charge a $15 a day boarding fee to keep your puppy. This is due to the fact that we will have to continue with required vet visits/vaccines, maintenance, food, socialization, training, etc.. Also we know the importance of insuring the puppy is in their new home as soon as age appropriate for the bonding experience with their new family.
We do allow pick ups here at the farm Paoli IN, but also provide two pick up dates for those traveling far. We will meet once with puppy clients at a specific time and location in Bloomington IN and another meet up, once again at a specific time/location in New Albany IN (Louisville KY area). Other than those options provided, we have transportation options available (ground and flight) at an additional cost.
